Ever wanted to live in a governor’s mansion but the idea of running for office doesn’t sound all that appealing?
The good news is there’s one for sale in North Dakota. The bad news? You’ll have to move it yourself and that alone will cost you at least $250,000. Oh, and it might have a little asbestos and lead paint, but that just gives it character, right?
The reason the 10,000 square-foot mansion is for sale is because the state is planning to build a more modern $5 million structure. They’d like to preserve the old one, but if no one puts in a reasonable offer by the end of September, they’re going to demolish it. Seems a little more complicated than your transaction, doesn’t it?
What do you think of the mansion? Worth saving or not?
